Granny and Gramps have learned to appreciate the finer things in life.
It takes a village... or at least a village full of paraphernalia...to keep our daily routine moving smoothly!
Bottles....
Bob, the double stroller...
Baby swings...
and of course, babies (with pacifiers) on blankets!
We've learned a lot this week...
Annie says, "It's never too early in the morning to start working on those abs!"
Grace says "All I have to do is smile, and they give me everything I want!"
Sometimes, just a little change of perspective makes all the difference!
Day care, Week 3 ended on a happy note. Rebecca and Manuel completed a busy week of school, track meets and parent conferences. They have 6 weeks of school left until summer vacation, and yesterday marked the first 80 degree day of spring.
We're looking forward to next week's adventures.

Spring!
Marcia Britton was surprised while visiting Minnesota this week! She packed for typical April weather, and found herself shopping for summer clothes! We met for lunch on the Nicollet Mall, and I finally met Julaine, Marcia's long time friend from Cannon Falls.
Marcia's timing was perfect to catch the spring flower show at Macy's...though we still call it Dayton's. I practiced my photography...but I wish I could have captured the fragrance to add to this posting!

Day Care, Week 2!
It's all about wildlife at the Spreigl home these days! Day care mornings begin at 6:30...and the wildlife roams the back yard! First, meet Theron, the wild turkey that struts alongside the deck, fluffing his feathers to start the morning....
Now, look quickly or you'll miss them...the fox family, mom & pop, who chased a cat through the yards this morning. Good luck, cat!
Annie is inspired by all the activity...she's on a mission, goal in mind and hopefully in hand. Try harder, Annie, you can catch those feet!
Success! Next stop, toes in the mouth...look forward to next week's post!
But what about Grace? Our drama queen has chosen to sleep in...not in her crib, but dozing in her swing! What a sweet swinger!
Rebecca and Manuel are doing fine; there are 7 weeks left of school and track practice. Mary & Paul are finalizing plans for baby gear and day care in Rochester. Four weeks and counting for the new cousin!
Stay tuned for next week's adventures in Day Care!

Were we really there?!
The last few weeks in SaddleBrooke flew by! Who has time to blog when there's so much going on? Dinner at the Kruegers' with the Kelleys, Mackenzies and Yachs....
Lunch with the ladies at our favorite restaurant....
Don't miss this one if you're ever in Tucson!
Best margaritas in the world....
and of course fantastic food!
We love the Canasta parties with the Villa gals...
Nancy loves to win!
We ended our winter reprieve with a few days in Sedona with Mary and Ward. Dick and Ward hiked for hours; Mary and I watched the sunset at Enchantment.
I'll skip the description of the packing and cleaning, cleaning and packing to return to the north country! No need for photos either, you get the picture! We were happy to return to real life, but we cherish the good days in the desert.

Day Care, Week 1!
Rebecca's back at school!
With only 8 weeks left of the school year, Rebecca returned to teaching and Grandma & Grandpa assumed the roles of part time day care providers. The week went smoothly; the hardest part was keeping Grandpa away when it's not his day to watch Annie and Grace!
The first week of day care followed the Palm Sunday baptism of A & G. After a flip of the coin (no kidding!), Annie wore the gown that her great grandma made for Mary & Rebecca to wear for their baptisms; Grace wore a similar, though simpler gown that this grandma made during our winter in Arizona.
Dad and Annie
Mom and Grace
We're all taking a road trip to Rochester for Easter dinner, where Mary & Paul are preparing the nursery (and preparing themselves!) for the birth of Baby McKie next month.
